AudioQuest DBS Level X Upgrade Kit

AudioQuest DBS Level X is the successor to the Carbon DBS. Technically and cosmetically identical, with the same beautiful black high-gloss finish.

AudioQuest DBS Level X has a filter network to prevent RFI and EMI. This network was not used in the original DBS system. DBS Level X contains an RF filter developed for the AudioQuest Niagara power products, which filters the radio frequency noise from the signal conductors.

AudioQuest DBS Level X offers an exceptionally low noise floor. A superior capacitor in the design optimizes the RF filter to the next level.

AudioQuest DBS Level X Upgrade Kit consists of:

• 1 x 72VDBS Level X pack
• 2 x Velcro straps (Velcro)

Note: DBS Level X can only be used in combination with existing AudioQuest DBS cables.

AudioQuest's patented Dielectric Bias System (DBS) places a cable's dielectric in a strong, stable electrostatic field that saturates (organizes) the molecules of the insulation, continuously from the moment the cable is made.

The exceptionally simple design uses a wire in the centre of the cable, which is an extension of a battery's anode. This wire is attached to the negative (-) side of a DBS battery. It is not in the signal path nor does it interact with the signal.

Depending on the model of the interconnect (analogue or digital) or speaker cable, the shield 'shield' will be connected to the plus (+) of the DBS battery pack. The negative side of a battery acts as an empty reservoir. Again, there is no interaction with the signal flow and no additional connections are introduced into the signal path.

Level-X Noise-Dissipation “pulls” RF Noise out of the cable, preventing noise from capacitively coupling to the audio conductors—thereby preventing audiocircuit misbehavior.

72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) AudioQuest’s multi-patented DBS creates a strong, stable electrostatic field which saturates and polarizes (organizes) the molecules of the insulation. This minimizes the nonlinear time delays, resulting in clearer sound emerging from a “blacker” background.
