AudioQuest Wind Series Jaws AC Mains Power Cable
Meet the all new Jaws power cable from AudioQuest which sits within the Wind series of power cables.
Lessons learnt from previous Wind series such as Monsoon and Blizzard have resulted in the next chapter of ZERO-Tech power cables. The Jaws power cable is available standard version (molded plugs) or Turbo version using high end Wind plugs using Storm level components.
Description
Upgrade a wide range of audio/video components, including electronics and subwoofers with recessed AC inlets, with AudioQuest Jaws AC power cable. With AudioQuest Jaws delivering uncompressed current, you’ll experience cleaner, clearer, more naturally beautiful and thrilling sound.
Jaws is the entry into AudioQuest’s Wind Series, which bridges the gap between the overachieving NRG Series and flagship Storm Series. Available with either C13 or C19 connecters.
Compared to AQ's much more robust, no-holds-barred Storm Series cables, the Winds are thinner, more flexible, and easier to install. Their relatively slim, molded plug connections allow the Winds to readily mate with just about any piece of equipment, including electronics and subwoofers that use recessed AC inlets.
Like its Wind Series siblings, Jaws incorporates the two crucial AudioQuest design features that allow the Storm Series models to dramatically outperform all previous AudioQuest AC cables: ZERO-Tech for uncompressed current transfer and RF/ND-Tech, which minimizes circuit misbehavior by cancelling induced RF noise.
Of course, tried-and-true AudioQuest technologies are also present in the Wind Series. Jaws features high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductor metal that has been carefully controlled for directionality to drain RF noise away from where it would cause the most harm.
AudioQuest Jaws Power Cable
- Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Conductors: Extreme-purity PSC+ copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximizes RF-Noise Dissipation.
- Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors: In AudioQuest's Semi-Solid Concentric conductors, strands are more tightly packed and never change position within the bundle, significantly reducing strand-interaction distortion.
- ZERO-Tech (No Characteristic-Impedance): The only way to prevent characteristicimpedance mismatch-effects between a cable and its attached source and load circuits, is for the cable not to have a characteristic-impedance. ZERO-Tech accomplishes this by eliminating any electrostatic field between the cable’s high and low signal conductors — enabling uncompressed current transfer. All-important transient current is unrestricted, and RF Noise-Dissipation is linearized (consistent octave to octave).
- RF/ND-Tech: AudioQuest’s RF-on-ground Noise-Dissipation (RF/ND-Tech) greatly reduces radio-frequency (RF) noise, yielding unprecedented levels of noise-dissipation across the widest bandwidth (range) of radio frequencies possible.
- High-Quality Molded Plugs: Designed to minimize distortion while easily accommodating a wide range of components, including electronics and subwoofers with recessed AC inlets.
- Direction-Controlled Conductors: All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. A fundamental aspect of AudioQuest’s multifaceted Noise-Dissipation technology, Direction-Controlled Conductors ensure induced noise is dissipated and drained properly.
