Canor Audio Hyperion P1 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier

Hyperion P1  is a vacuum tube preamplifier of pure Class/A with zero feedback, designed and produced by CANOR. It is part of Canor's Reference series of products and offers high end performance.

As usual there are many technilogical and engineering priciples foud in any Canor product.

With 4 x XLR (balanced) and 5 RCA (single ended) inputs alongside 2 x XLR (balanced) and 1 RCA (single ended) outputs it will suit most system requirements. It is also possible to convert 1 x RCA (single ended) input as a Fixed Out if required.

The 64-steps balanced attenuator provides gain control in 1 dB increments, with a minimum attenuation of 63 dB and it is located in a special aluminium box (10mm thick walls) which provides perfect shielding. 

The attenuator, as well as the electronic part, are installed on anti-vibration pads (columns) which contributes to the overall elimination of vibrations.

The analogue section is separated from the power part by a solid aluminium wall (10 mm thick) which contributes to the elimination of interference.

The attenuator controls are galvanically separated via optical drivers.

The Hyperion P1 utilizes Canor's advanced CMT ™ technology (CANOR ® PCB Milling Technology) for optimal performance. The CMT™ technology allows Canor to get the dielectric loss factors (loss tangent) of PCB close to the loss factor of air. Thanks to this technology they have managed to get repeatedly to the parameter level of the so-called “wire-to-wire connections“.
