The Asterion V3 is a tube based phono preamplifier that sits in Canor's Performance series of products. Equipped with both XLR and RCA inputs and support for both MC and MM cartridges. Gain, and impedance and capacitance are easily adjusted with plenty of adjustment to suit most cartridges.

Main Features

Purist architecture without global feedback

The Asterion V3 analogue stages are designed without the use of global feedback, ensuring the natural dynamics and tonal purity of the signal are preserved. This solution eliminates unwanted phase distortions and preserves the integrity of the recording in its authentic form. The result is a vivid and detailed sound image with precise spatial rendering.

Four-stage tube preamplifier chain

The amplifier chain uses four stages equipped with ECC83S and ECC81 tubes to achieve high gain with low noise. Between the first two stages is an integrated subsonic filter, which effectively eliminates unwanted low frequency interference without affecting the audible band. This combination ensures a stable, linear signal and high fidelity reproduction.

Phono settings adjustable via remote control

The versatile remote control allows you to control all key preamplifier functions directly from the listening position. In addition to choosing between MM and MC cartridges, it can also precisely adjust the impedance and capacitance values ​​according to the specifications of your cartridge.

Intuitive experience and perfect readability

The best of both worlds thanks to the combination of touch and matrix display. While the touch interface ensures seamless interaction with the device, the matrix display guarantees perfect readability of all key information from any distance.

Multi-level shielding of the mains transformer

The power supply uses a transformer with primary and secondary windings separated by copper foil, which effectively blocks the penetration of network interference. The entire component is cast in anti-vibration compound and enclosed in a 4 mm thick steel housing, which ensures perfect electromagnetic shielding and prevention of mechanical hum.

Five stage anode voltage filtration

To deliver maximum stability and clean power, the Asterion V3 features a high precision, five stage anode voltage filtration system. This multi-stage process rigorously eliminates residual ripple and mains interference, ensuring it won't degrade the delicate audio signal.

CMT ™ technology

The Asterion V3 utilizes Canor's advanced CMT ™ technology (CANOR ® PCB Milling Technology) for optimal performance. The CMT™ technology allows Canor to get the dielectric loss factors (loss tangent) of PCB close to the loss factor of air. Thanks to this technology they have managed to get repeatedly to the parameter level of the so-called “wire-to-wire connections“.
