Elite BDC mk II - Reference linear DC power supply with 3 stage noise regulation.

The 19 Volt - 3 Amp DC SINGLE output version to connect a single component offers a substantial upgrade over standard power supplies included with manu products. Be careful these DC power supply upgrades can be addictive!

Elite BDC mk II Details:

With insights garnered from their flagship Statement BDC, PLiXir have improved the Elite BDC design with increased capacitance and improved layout scheme with their proprietary Star+Ground plane design. The Elite BDC mk II has an even lower noise floor, better dynamics and more body when compared to the original. 

The reduced variant (single output 3 Amps or dual output 5 Amps) makes choosing the right power supply easier as well.

PLiXir's ground up approach begins with a balanced AC power design, along with a two stage voltage regulation consisting of an open loop first stage pre-regulator and a close-loop feedback second stage. This mean the Elite BDC mk II's  unique balanced AC power circuit effectively removes ground loop noise and reduces the diode noise.

The first stage pre-regulation filters the bulk of the noise, specifically the high frequency noise, and the heat from the second stage voltage regulator. The two stages of regulation behave as a "gate" to prevent the downstream noise from crossing back to the AC mains power to pollute other equipment.

Handcrafted

All PLiXiR products are handcrafted in Singapore. The ability to control all aspects of the PCB production and product assembly allow PLiXir to fully optimise the performance and sound for all PLiXiR products. Each product is uniquely made to very high standard as quality and not quantity is key.

The final tuning is done by James Soh, the founder, for the PLiXiR sound.

Casing

Ultra rigid one piece aluminium body (min 5mm thick) body construction with 5mm bottom plate and 3mm top cover. This costly design provides the best vibration isolation possible with the least number of joints. The casing doubles as the heat sink for the power supply, completing the elegant design.

Premium Components

Selected premium components including ultra low impedance capacitors, high-current connectors and high purity copper cables. All chosen for a neutral and low noise sound.

DC Cable

Single output (3 Amp version) BDC mk II is supplied with a 1 metre long high current PLiXiR high purity copper DC power cable with either 2.1mm or 2.5mm plugs to fit to connected component (please select from dropdown box when at top of page when ordering). 

Dual output (5 Amp version) BDC mk II is supplied with 2 x  1 metre long high current PliXiR high purity copper DC power cable with either 2.1mm or 2.5mm plugs to fit to connected component (please select from dropdown box when at top of page when ordering).
