Totem Acoustic Forest Signature Floorstander - Pair
Designed to transcend time
The Forest Signature is at once a celebration and culmination of the Forest evolution. From its inception, the Forest became an enduring favorite amongst true audiophiles. The new Forest Signature is a transcendent upgrade in every aspect, from its critical components to final acoustic performance. It offers unparalleled musicality and spatial imaging while faithfully rendering subtleness and attack/decay harmonics.
All Forest Signature woofers and tweeters are individually inspected, measured and tested using Totem’s own exceptional quality procedures. This ultra-performance columnar loudspeaker radiates superb musicality for both stereo and multi-channel listening.

Customized Drivers - Bespoke Acoustic Engineering
Every single driver is completely unique to Totem and
proprietary in design, engineered by Totem and then manufactured to the
strictest standards to meet Their parameters by the finest raw driver suppliers
in the world. In some cases, where the technology is beyond the capabilities of
suppliers or is wished to kept secret, Totem can and will build their own
drivers. Every driver exhibits phase linearity, speed, emotion, off axis
natural presentation, and spatial articulation
Handmade Crossovers – with Point to Point Connections
Totem crossovers don’t require many parts because of the
synergy between our customized drivers, but the components are the world’s
best. Totem’s crossovers aren’t built on PCB’s because the laminated conductive
tracks are weak and inconsistent. Instead they are secured to a thin
piece of fiberboard or insulated polymers and components are mechanically
crimped together because it simply sounds better. When Totem must solder, they
choose WBT Silver Solder, the purest in the industry.
Artisanal Cabinet Construction – Master Craftwork Construction.
Meticulously hand crafted for peak performance that lasts
decades. Lock-Miter assembly is an intricate woodworking procedure where edges
physically interlock together. The resulting cabinet is up to 5 times stronger
than conventional V Groove cabinets. Internal and external veneering resists
warping, structurally fortifies, and ensures consistent peak performance.
Industry unique Borosilicate damping manages dissipation, keeps the cabinet
musically alive, and never deteriorates. Popular materials like poly
fillers eventually decay, dramatically affecting the performance.
Variable Density Fiberboard is denser at the extremities than the interior to
reduce repetitive nodes and resonances.
Connectors – WBT Bi-Wire/ Bi-Amp
Premium WBT connectors are the preferred choice by all
audiophiles. WBT connectors lets the signal through without interfering
or affecting it. Superior connectors like WBT connectors will prevent any
signal loss and get the most out of the entire system.
Sound Isolation – Articulated Claw and Skid Plate
The ultimate in decoupling and honing Totem speakers.
This unique claw can be adjusted to modify the angle of the cabinet for optimal
bass loading, phase/space articulation, and fine tuning the relationship between
the speaker and environment. An aluminum plate including two formed feet
at the base of the speaker eliminates resonances between the floor and speaker
enclosure, perfecting bass response and soundstage dimensions.
Setting Up:
The speakers require several hours of actual music playing time as a minimal break-in period. During this time, refrain from playing them at very loud levels. You will notice a definite gradual improvement in the cohesiveness of the music reproduction as this occurs.
It is only through the support of advocates such as yourself that true sound can be promoted...
Mass Loading: All Totem columns work very well without any type of mass loading. However if stability is an issue or if there is a particular over emphasis in the bass in the room they are used in, then mass loading can be experimented with. Variables such as electronics, wiring and room dynamics play a definite role and therefore the option is there for your experimentation. One may use: clean dry sand, silica sand etc.
Toe-in: Due to the fact that all Totem speakers have great off-axis dispersion, toe-in is generally not needed. Imaging will therefore be more stable from any point in the room. If the speakers are placed very far apart (over 7 feet) then a slight toe-in may be experimented with. However if room geometry does not permit a straight-ahead aspect they will also perform very well with a slight toe-in.
